Before Acid Wash                      After Acid Wash

If your pool becomes very green or stained, you may want to consider an acid wash.  An acid wash can make dirty, stained pool walls and floors look sparkly and new again!  Whether you live in North Las Vegas, Las Vegas, Summerlin, Southern Highlands, Henderson or anywhere in between, we can help out!  We drop a submersible pump the day before performing the acid wash to drain the pool.  We utilize your sewer clean-out so we dispose of the old pool water as per Clark County's specifications.  We will then return on the following day and perform the acid wash.  The mixture we use consists of acid, water and a solution called white 'n bright.  This solution helps the mixture adhere to the plaster and also minimizes etching of the plaster from the acid.  Often times, we have to pressure wash the swimming pool plaster to remove the initial layer of old staining and algae.  Once finished, we begin to fill the pool.  When the pool finishes filling, we return once again to start-up pool and add chlorine, stabilizer, etc.  Please keep in mind, performing an acid wash is a delicate process!  I can't even tell you how many times my phone has rang and it is someone that hired a pool cleaning company to perform an acid wash, but the guy didn't know what he was doing and did extensive damage to the plaster requiring very expensive replastering to repair the mistake.  Don't let that happen to you!  Many times, trying to save a hundred dollars up front ends up costing pool owners thousands of dollars in costly repairs.  We would be happy to have a look at your swimming pool and offer our free suggestion.  Let us know if you would like us to stop by and have a look!
